

So, when they get bingo, i make them say the words and spell them to me. But, as similar to the wordsearch puzzle, i made a powerpoint slide with the different homophones on it and the students should choose the correct word for the sentence, then they can mark it on their bingo card. Then, for the next class period, i created a 'homophones bingo' game. However, it's not just them searching for the word, i give them a sentence with the options of the homophones, and they should choose the correct homophone for the sentence, and then try to find it in the crossword puzzle. Then, at the end of the class period, i divided the students into pairs and gave them a wordsearch with homophones.

It took about 5-10 minutes to explain to the students on how to play, but after they started playing, they seemed to really enjoy it and were really excited about playing it. I bought 10 packs and divided my students into groups of 4 and let them play.
